![]() But the best part, in my opinion, is the bottom. Mom bought the Darth Vader cake pan from Amazon and made a chocolate ganache that she colored black. ![]() Isn’t this Lard Vader cake hilarious?! It was a labor of love between my mom and myself. We served Yoda Soda (Sprite) and Emperor Palpatine Punch (Hawaiian Punch) to drink. These Darth Maul-lows were a big hit! I dunked jumbo marshmallows in melted milk chocolate chips and then striped them with red gel icing. Hamburger sliders with feta cheese became Boba Fetta Burgers and lime jello served as Jabba Jigglers. Jar Jar Links were little cocktail sausages, while Obi Wan Kebabes were fruit and cheese kebabs. These are the labels showing what we ended up choosing. Seriously, Mark and I giggled the whole time we made the food list. Most of the supplies came from the Dollar Tree and I accessorized with blocks and Angry Birds figurines from Spencer’s many (MANY!) games. We set up the party in my craft room like we always do, and went completely red and black to represent the pork side. And I just couldn’t help dressing up the black lined envelopes with some basic star stickers. So, of course, we featured the most bad of bad guys-Lard Vader-on our invitations. He’s told me no less than once a day that he wanted a “pork side” party with all of the bad guys. I think Spencer has been talking about this party since January when we threw Laurel’s Frozen birthday party. We celebrated our baby boy’s 4th birthday in complete Angry Birds Star Wars style! This weekend was a very special occasion at our house. ![]()
